Lamp shade staining issue

Hi we have lamp shades and during cleaning one of the lamp shade lost its stain. See pictures

any ideas on how to restore?

Stain washed away.

This is the companion shade ...and what it is supposed to look like.

That looks like alabaster. Not sure what can be done with that.
You might try looking into alabaster refinishing.

My first choice would be to clean the others so they all match. You wouldn't have the tan color but at least they would be the same. Then, if you want you can re-stain the shades. I wouldn't try staining just the one as it will be very difficult to get it to match the others but if you wash them all down to white then they can all be stained similarly.

I washed them all down to white. It's amazing how easily it comes off.

any links on how to stain to get back to something similar again? I think these were tea stained - am I correct?

thanks

I would try a wood stain. I'm not sure if you will need oil based or if water based will work. Pick the color stain you want for tone. Then I would test to see if you can use it straight or if you need to dilute it to let enough light pass through.
