Non adhesive cabinet covering?

Hi! I live in an apartment that generally speaking I love, except that it has very ugly orange stained beveled wood cabinets.

Per the lease I'm not allowed to use adhesives or contact paper, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for how to cover them?

For example, there a material I could use to wrap them like a present and have them look good? All the wraps I've seen are adhesive, so I'm wondering about a material I could either adhere to itself or clip onto the cabinet.

Practically any color is better than orange, but a white, blue, or purple would match the decor.
