Site for painted (but not white) kitchen cabinets?

Hello,
I've been reading posts for almost 2 hours and these boards are just what I was looking for!

My question can be classified as Decorating or Painting so I don't know if I am putting my question in the correct forum.
My apologies if this question should have been posted in the painting forum.

I have sanded and primed my kitchen cabinets.
I don't want plain, white kitchen cabinets but I'm at a loss as to what I want to do with them.

I am thinking of a subtle faux technique that will hide fingerprints.

I have looked on the web for pictures of painted cabinets, hoping to give me ideas.
All I'm finding are sites with white or white-washed painted kitchen cabinets.

Does anyone know of a site that has pictures of painted kitchen cabinets other than white or white-washed?

I've been so focused on finding sites with pictures of painted cabinets that my finger is developing a blister from all the web surfing and scrolling. : )

Any help would be so appreciated.

Faux

Painted kitchen cabinets

You might have better luck browsing through the magazines at the local news stand or library for pictures of painted cabinets. You can also take a peek into the faux painting books available at local home centers to get an idea. Although you will see pieces of furniture, rather than kitchen cabinets, these techniques can be used on kitchen cabinets.

Faux Finishes

Hi Faux!

You will probably want to head to a home store to really find help with this...

Ralph Lauren carries some great finishes, and they do have chips for their finishes so you can feel what they will be like...

We have used their pebble finish on a wall, and think that the suede finish would be great on a kitchen cabinet. We too are plagued by white cabinets and I am forever cleaning marks off of them. Let me know what you find, and like!

Hello and thank you both so much for your replies.
I am sorry it took so long to get back to you but I had to wait for a break in the budget to buy a new modem.
It's amazing how much havoc the decorative mind can accomplish when there is no computer in the house! lol
With my new "spare" time I experimented with every faux technique known to man/woman (or, at least known to me) on my kitchen cabinets---one technique per cabinet and since I can't make up my mind, my cabinets have remained like like for several weeks! Makes for lively conversation if nothing else. lol
My white kitchen cabinets were wonderful until I realized I was spending way too much time wiping off fingerprints, grease, and general everyday dirt--time that could be spent decorating something!
Thank you so much for your suggestions--I had not heard of the pebble finsh so I'm definitely going to look that up and the web link is full of great information!
