Question Has anyone done this before?

I was watching if walls could talk last night on HGTV and they showed a bathroom wallpapered in newspapers. I would love to do this. We live in a small town and my kids have been in the papers numerous times for sports and school things and I have saved the old papers so I would LOVE to wallpaper their playhouse with these and other newspapers.
I need to know how I could do this without the newpaper print smearing. I figured I could probably just put it on with wallpaper glue but need to know what I could put over it so it will not tear or yellow and will look kind of glossy any clues??

Thanks Sherry

Wallpapering with newspapers

Where I grew up, folks used newspapers for wallpaper. It seems everything old is becoming new again. You might want to make this post on the wallpaper forum.

Lightbulb newspaper cover

What you can do is use polycarbonate sheets. They come in various forms and you can find them at an industrial plastic supplier house. Go to gestructuredproducts.com for your local distributor.

thickness' - .005", .007", & .010"
size - 24" x 48" sheets
types - 8B35=matte finish, HP12=velvet finish, 8010=glossy finish

Take your pick
