Question Flush Up Systems - Anyone Have an Opinion?

Anyone have any experience or knowledge concerning the Saniflo flush-up systems? I'd like to put a toilet and sink in my basement. The maximum vertical height up to the waste drain pipe would be about 8 feet. The Saniflo systems are rated for a 12 foot vertical pump. Any plumbers out there that can comment on these?

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Flush Up Systems - Anyone Have an Opinion?

Chief Bob,

The Saniflow system you are talking about is the Sanitop which is suppose to be a good unit for pumping up. Virtually no maintenance and is quiet. I only know of one client that had it installed. They had a partial basement installed and had a septic system. Only comes in White I think but nice style.

Hopefully others can give more advice or post this in the plumbing forum.

Good Luck!

I have one of those in my basement....and it's pretty useless. I dont know if it's installed wrong or what but it does not work too well. It flushes water fine but if you put anything other than that in there after about 4 times it cloggs up bigtime. That just the way my system works...yours could be different. Seems like it has very little pressure.
