Bath and kitchen venting ques.

We are looking to buy a new house and I am curious if this sounds right. Under the bathroom and kithen sinks there are not vents to the outside. Both are on the outside walls of the house. They have been vented using those undercabinet vents. The ones that have the gray caps on the top of them. Thanks for any help, Greg

Cool

Those should work fine.
Unless it is against local code, don't worry about it.

Bath and kitchen venting ques.

gl1,

I'm afraid that your question needs to have more info. Did you make a typo, "Under the bathroom and kithen sinks there are not vents to the outside." Was it suppose to be, there are NO vents to the outside"?

What type of vents? Heat registers? Piping?

I'm unsure what you are referring to because the question has me thinking in 2 areas. Possibly others may some ideas on this.

Have you asked the builder or realtor about them?

Let us know!

The vents I am talking about are the plumbing vents. Sorry about the confusion. Thanks Greg

Cool

That's what I thought that you meant, and what I was talking about.
Here is a Studor brand one, which is acceptable in virtually all code jurisdictions in the U.S., including BOCA:
