shower pan on cement floor

I am installing a new shower pan on a cement floor. Everything I have read talks about stapling roofing paper down first. Do I need to put anything down before I do my first layer of cement?
Thanks

massageman,

I have attached some links that explain everything the right way. Roofing paper is usually done over a wood subfloor and even then that is not the right way for a shower. It is for major flooring areas besides high moisture areas. Old days..yes, now days..NO.
