renewin the drywall in mybathroom

my bathroom drywall seems to be falling out the tile is still applied to it but u can push in the drywall how can i go about fixing this project ?

Drywall failure

Sounds like moisture has penetrated through the tile grout and caused deterioration of the drywall. There is no quick fix. The damaged drywall should be removed and areas behind inspected for moisture damage. Concrete underlayment board is recommended in tub/shower areas. Greenboard, drywall with water resistant coating, can be installed on other walls for additional protection.

removing wall tile

I have the 70s tile in my bathroom around the entire bathroom half way up the wall. I want to remove the tile to update the bathroom. By the way, the walls are plaster. After removing a few tile I noticed 'browncoat' (I think that is what it is called) underneath. And it is not flush with the wall above the tile... it sticks out maybe 3/8 inch. What should I do? Can I remove the browncoat and drywall down to the floor, without touching the plaster wall above? Or should I smear drywall combound over the browncoat and drywall to the ceiling over the plaster? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Bathroom floor squeaks and squawks

We recently redid our bathroom replacing everything. We ripped out the old K3 subfloor and swept it well. We then layed new plywood good side and screwed it well down. It now squawks and squeaks right in fron of the vanity and is driving me nuts . does anyone have any idea what we could do short of ripping it up. Also maybe tips on what we did wrong ? Any ideas please:confused:
