bathroom sink drain offset to one side
Hello,
I am thinking of installing a different size vanity and sink. The problem is the drain would be offset to one side.... I mean the pipe from the wall is about 4 inches left of where the sink drain would come down.
My question is.. whats the correct way to install the drain then?
Thanks!

You can get different types of PVC p-trap assemblies in bubble packs, or make up what you need, to adjust to the offset under the sink.
Just look at a plumbing supply hosue or a big box store.
Should be no problem.
Good Luck!

Well, the problem is that the distance is a bit strange. Its not an exact difference where I can just flip the P-trap around. What kinds of elbows/extensions/etc can I use to create the contraption that'll connect this all up right? I actually went to Home Depot and asked a few people there and got many different answers. I'm not sure who's right or wrong.
Thanks!

Water doesn't drain uphill, so whatever connections that you make, the piping out of the trap needs to be slightly above the wall drain connection if possible.
I can't see exactly what you're talking about, but it sounds like you need to turn the trap to get it in line as much as possible, and then extend and 90 off of it to the adapter (1.25" trap drain pipe to 1.5" in wall).
Good Luck!
