Unhappy Bathroom ceiling wet spots

House is 7 years old and has 2 mysterious wet spots in ceiling over shower/bath tub area. The wet spots are near the bathroon fan/vent. One wet spot is a small 5in circle near the fan/vent, the other is a narrow 2 ft slice. Both spots are away from the shower head. What's the problem? Should I call an electrician or plumber for repair?

Cool

Is there unheated attic space above those wet spots?
If there is, this may be from condensation dripping from uninsulated bathroom exhaust venting.
The condensation forms when the warm moist air from the bathroom hits the cold vent in the unheated attic.
To correct it, wrap batts of insulation around the vent pipe in the attic, and hold in place with duct tape. Don't wrap it too tightly, as that defeats the insulation value.
Good Luck!

Could be condensation or could be a roof leak at either the plumbing vent stack or the exhaust fan where it goes through the roof.
