Cast Iron Bath Tub Replacement
#1

I have a cast iron bath tub and I would like to replace it with another cast iron tub. The tub goes from wall to wall.
Can a new cast iron tub be put in place without knocking out walls? My bathroom is the width of the tub by about 8 feet deep.

nclement2,
The "no sweat" answer is yes. The "sweat" answer is, it's going to be tough getting the old one out but a sledge hammer and googles will work just fine. Makes this easier for removal.
Getting the new one in will take some doing but new cast irons still have some weight and this will required some help.
Good Luck!
