hi about shower pans

I have a problem. I traded a used quenn sized matress and box for a brand new 36 inch shower pan. t=The problems is its about 3/4ths of an inch too big on left and right side. Can I cut those sides to make it fit, even though that little curb on left and right side will be removed? Thanks.

Don't cut into the pan, you might weaken it structurally. The flange that you want to cut off is generally use as the nailing surface to attach it to the framing.

Notch the wood studs enough so that you can slide the pan in.
