Caulk won't dry!

Several weeks back, I caulked my tub and didn't use that shower since. However , when I run my finger along the bead, caulk comes off on my finger, as if the bead is still wet.

Does it normally take this long to dry? Am I doing something wrong here? Could it be that the bead is too thick?

Thanks!

Ordinarily, caulk is dry and ready to paint in 4 hours, max. How thick is the bead? What kind of caulk? Silicone, acrylic.....?
