I want to remove my old wall hung bathroom sink and replace it with a cabinet. I want to build the cabinet myself, but I can't seem to find any sort of plans or guide lines as to how thick the top should be or what it should be made of (plywood, solid wood, etc.).
Does anyone know where I can find some guide lines for making this?

I would use for a cultured marble top. Available from any of the big box stores, in a wide variety of sizes, styles, and colors. Get that so as to fit your available space first, then build the cabinet to ft the top.

clawfeet bathtub

We just purchased an older home which has a clawfoot tub. Seems like the previous owners did not clean the tub often so we inherited all the dirt and grime. My question is, is it possible to clean this tub to a nice shine without refinishing it? If so, what is the best cleaning solution to use on it? We have tried various products to no avail. Can anyone give us some ideas? thanks, tom

bought a kit from Pergaments to regalze bathtub which was rusty, discolored and old. The man at the store did not tell me to get a cleaner before I put the first coat. Now that it is dried it dripped and is not WHITE looks like alittle of the rust seeped through. Its also bumpy. Before I do another coat what should I do, sand? remove? if so with what? to top it off takes 36 hours to dry and cant use tub for 7 days after...help!
