strip porcelian inside claw tub?

Have an old claw tub that has a real rough interior. Part of the porcelian is gone on about half the bottom. I sandblasted the exterior and that cleaned up real well. Is there is a slick way to remove the porcelian from the interior of the tub? If I could get it smooth and stripped I would have it powder coated. Suggestions?

donnyjay,

I cannot help out with this but if you call a good bath refinisher, I'm sure that you can get an answer to assist with your project. I believe there is an acid that is used to soften it but so much for me.

Good Luck!
