seal grout?

We recently had our bathroom remodeled. We have a tile floor. I noticed when the tile gets wet, the grout changes color. I asked the contractor if he should put a sealer on the grout and he said the grout contained a sealer. Since the grout changes color so easily, I have my doubts. I have a bottle of Silox8 for a marble countertop. Should I add this sealer to the grout?

I'll answer this but I will copy and post in the tile Forum as well.

I am assuming that the Contractor didhave a sealer in the grout when applying but it is adviseable to apply a sealer after the tile has had time cure. It is a good idea now to clean the grout now, let this dry well for 3 or 4 days then apply a good sealer, possibly that at HD like the Tile Lab products.

Good Luck!
