Water dripping into toilet bowl

Water drips continuously into toilet bowl. I've replaced flapper and adjusted the float. Is there another area to check?

The thingamajig that the flapper sits on [gasket] may be a little cracked or imperfect in some way. if so replace it. I think there are ones that are easier to replace than others. Maybe one that has a flapper and a gasket in a kit where the gasket slips over the old one and the flapper is made to work with it. There must be a good seating between the 2 to keep the water in the tank. If it looks good make sure the flapper is coming down in the middle and that nothing is interfering with it. You said that you made sure water wasn't entering through the overflow tube right

Cool

Clean the flapper seat with steel wool or SOS pad, and make sure that the chain to the new flapper is shortened to where it just allows the flapper to seat fully.
If that doesn't do it, you may have to replace the overflow assembly, as joneq suggested.
Good Luck!

Hello,
Check the hose inside the tank that goes from the fill valve to the over
flow tube. The end of the hose should be at or above the overflow tube. If the
hose is down in the overflow tube it will cause the problem you are having.

Thumbs up Dripping into bowl

If you drain wc cistern and remove the siphon unit (flushing part) replace this washer at the bottom or simply put it in a bowl of boiling water for 5 minutes and then replace. This will soften the rubber washer and allow it to form a good seal again, thus stopping the dripping. Any probs then give me a shout.
