Bathtub Faucet Assembly Replace

I have an access door where I can only get at the shutoff valves but not behind the faucets themselves.Looks like drywall behind there too.I want to replace my current faucets with new ones. When I look at the directions they show a wall with full access. Is there a way around this or do I have to tear the wall down to make access bigger behind the faucet which I really don't want do do.Its a bedroom wall. Thanks in advance

Ever hear of compromise? You have to decide what is easier? You want a new faucet assembly? Don't care to do any drywall repair? Take your pick!

It would seem that doing drywall repair to have full access to do removal and replacement would make more sense than going through the tub side wall, right?

No sure if you have copper or galv. lines but in either case you still need room to work.

There's no easy tricks here, sorry.

Good Luck!
