Polished Brass Trim Shower Doors--Do They Tarnish?

We are planning on buying some shower doors to put up on the bathtub that the kids use. The tile on the tub walls is dark green, as well as the tile on the floor, and the wallpaper is tan stripes with green decorative border.

I feel the polished brass trimmed doors would look better than the silver/chrome color.

I'm wondering if over time with cleaning solutions/bath tub cleaners, would the polished brass tarnish or peel off over the years, or will it remain looking as good as it does new??

Don't use anything abrasive on them. They have an acrylic coating to protect them from tarnishing. Soap and water -- anything stronger than that is abrasive.
