American Standard/Home Depot

American Standard/Home Depot
I just looked at a 5x5 corner whirlpool at HD. It is a Am Std cadenza. Has a heater, acrylic, and it looks nice for $900.
Got on American Standards website site and it shows that tub is made exclusivly for Home Depot.
On that website they show the same tub as retailling for over $1800 which seems to be the going price for that type of tub.
My question, is this tub a cheapened up unit? I wouldn't think American Standard would put its name on something inferior.
This tub would go in a upstairs bathroom above a finished ceiling.

What is usually on some products websites are list price, so therefore that price isn't realistic with the pricing you would find say at a plumbing supply house or Home Depot.
That model might be competitively priced since Home Depot stocks this item and it will be mass produced from American Standard.
I would trust the product that it is good.
