Question Lead Shower pan removal

I have a 32" shower that I am replacing. I removed the metal shower surround and I think that I have a concrete base on a lead shower pan. The metal is very soft at the drain pipe. I have cast iron drain pipes under the house. How should I remove the old shower base? I have a SDS Hammer that I could use to break up the base, but how do I handle the lead drain? Or is this a job for a PRO?

I plan on installing a new shower base and tile the shower walls. I plan to use the exsisting drain location, in the center of the shower area.
