I've tried ceramic tile adhesive twice. The 2nd time it fell and broke off a corner of the mount. ~sigh~. Then I read that this stuff is NOT to be used for button backed or groved tile. I'd remove this altogether if I could find tile the right size/color? Who uses these things anyway? What good do they do INSIDE the shower? I also have one above my toilet tank. You can maybe fit a HAND towel on the thing.

uh-oh-oh1,

Unless it is going inside a shower or ona wall where you have ceramic, then no. Purchase the right one for walls that have wall anchors or use of screws.

Good Luck!
