Bathtub Caulking

Hi, I'm not that good at putting caulking around the tub.

If the tile is grouted all the way to the bottom including on top of the tub do you still need to caulk? It seem to be sealed ok.

Thanks

Grout doe's not flex and does not allow for expansion and contraction. Have you tried standing in the tub and seeing if the edge of it moves away from the grout. It's also easy for water to find a void in grout. I have found that a spoon dipped in water makes a great caulk tool. You start with a short small bead and see if it smoothes out the way you want it.Just holding it at a 45 degree angle to the joint. Add more caulk if it doesn't smooth out to the width you need it.A small amount of excess can be removed after curing with a razor blade (carefully).Good luck and post back.
