have bathroom redone

had bath room redone and got some wows . like where the wall is to the tub it use to be tile and the old tub was casted metal . the new tub is fiberglass and it a little bigger . Well to make it short above the tub is two layers of sheet rock and it makes a gap at the top of tub . how can this be fixed .
Now this is just on the end where the water comes in at .

katmat,

You don't mention what is on the walls now - tile?

Why is there 2 layers of drywall on the one end only?

Simple to remove 1 layer but unsure of what you have for a finished wall.

The gap would normally be filled in with caulk at the bottom and the tile would almost touch the top of the tub leaving a small gap to be caulked.

Hope this helps!
