one piece tub & shower enclosure

I am planning for the addition of a second bathroom and thinking using a one-piece fiberglas tub and shower enclosure. The side of the tub will be on an outside wall with two short walls on each end...alcove I believe it's called.

1. Do I need to install green board or use a vapor barrier behind this unit?
2. Can I use regular drywall for the bathroom walls and ceiling or do I need something special due to moisture?
3. Do I have to do anything special if I tile the lower 4 feet of the walls?

fredmorrison,

1. These attach directly to the studs. Read the instructiuons thoroughly.

2. Use of M/R is recommended within this room. You can use regular on ceiling as long as you are using good primer and paint.

3. You can tile over the M/R - no problems.

Hope this helps!
