where to put shampoo in clawfoot shower?

We are remodeling our bathroom and installing a shower ring on our clawfoot tub. My problem is, I have no idea where to put the shampoo and conditioner bottles. I am planning on getting a riser mount soap dish, but obviously this will only hold a bar of soap and maybe a razor. I won't be able to use a caddy that hooks onto the side of the tub, as it will interfere with the shower curtain, and we paid a lot of money for the shower and I don't want to hang a caddy on the shower head. Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions?

611barb,

Maybe you should look at this,

Traditional Clip On Rim Soap Dish (I know you can't use it)

http://www.vintagetub.com/asp/produc...item_no=gb0043

Soap Dish that goes on Shower Riser

http://www.vintagetub.com/asp/produc...o=gb0215&cg=83

When you like a particular product like a clawfoot bathtub, the last thing that is thought of is soap dishes, even shower curtains if this is an afterthought.

It is a matter of "compromising" as you have few alternatives where such an item can go and what is really available to be pleasing to the eye as well as functional.

Hope this helps!

we have an old clawfoot, along with a shower surround. we use the caddy (two actually) that would normally hang from the shower head only we simply hung it from an "s" shaped hook hanging from the curtain surround.
