Base Lazy Susan Cabinet

I recently purchased new kitchen cabinets for my remodel job. Now I'm ready to install them, starting with a Lazy Susan corner unit (36x36 w/28" lazy susan). My question is, is it common for the lazy susan to stick out past the frame of the door, then make the door a 1/4" shorter? The manufacturer says that this is a industry standard. Is he telling me the truth?
I would appreciate anyone who has knowledge of this to reply.

Thank you,

jgs65,

I'm assuming that you have an easy reach cabinet for this lazy suzan so I think someone is telling you the truth if other conditions are not used.

Look at page 10

I will say this, if there is no filler to each side of this cabinet, and depending on the type of fronts you have, moving the cabinet our 1/4" will be the right way to install it.

Hope this helps!
