Copper Countertops

I love the look of copper but have no idea how high-maintence it would be for a kitchen. Has anyone here seen how this materials wears? And are there any ways to seal the copper so that it doesn't discolor/tarnish?

Copper is copper. It gets a Patina after a while. It is also a soft metal and will dent if mistreated. If you like the "bright" copper look, either be prepared to do constant polishing or go another route. Good luck.

copper countertops

I just spent a couple of days in a nice house with custom copper counter tops. Absolutely a horror to keep looking good. Ever little drop of water has to be wiped up or it leaves a mark when dried. Other fluids were as bad or worse. I noticed several dents where objects had been dropped. You couldn't give it to me or my wife who disliked it more than I.
