kitchen cabinets

Hi, I just found this site, hope I can get some input from someone, I bought this house in July, the house was built in early 60's, the kitchen cabinets are solid wood build in one piece to the wall, they are white, with green doors,(which I will paint) the problem is where prevous owners had there refrigerator is 28Wx65H to small for my refrigerator, what can I do with this space? Right now I have a small cabinet sitting in there with my microwave on it , not liking that look too well, any suggestions? Thanks

I'm sure you'll get tons of ideas here... But what is your goal?

For instance... if your refrigerator doesn't fit...where did you put it?

What do you need - more storage space? A pantry would fit into that spot nicely...

Enjoy wines? You can find a medium sized wine cooler box to stick in there, build around it for a custom look.

Need to show off china/liquor/collectibles... put in shelves with glass doors.

Party a lot? Put in a keg dispenser with stemware storage above it.

Like collectibles? An old Coke bottle dispenser would fit nicely.

I keep wondering though... where did he put his current fridge? The last house I bought had a huge opening for a fridge - and made my fridge look tiny when installed. I bought a bigger one - and put the old one in the garage for a beer cooler. Now that - was a good idea!!
