Laminate Counter End Caps

Just finished first countertop and the end caps are not cut to the shape of the countertop
(I hope this is normal). What is the best tool for cutting them to the right shape and do I cut them
before or after attaching them to the counter?

Thanks!

diynovice76,

End caps can be purchased and then applied with contact cement.

Hope this helps!

File it!

Apparently I got the wrong 'kit'. All I got were the laminate caps...no battens. They look like a third-grader cut them. I'll have to file for a couple days to get them flush with the counter.
Thanks for the links, Doug!

diynovice76,

You're welcome!

Once you get the right ones, it will be easy.

Good Luck!
