Dishwasher Gap

We replaced our old Kenmore dishwasher this weekend because it died. We installed a Maytag, but the side gaps between the cabinets and dishwasher seem to be more noticeable than with the Kenmore. What can I do to hide the gaps?

Thanks,
Jennie

A lot depends on what finish your cabinets have. For "factory type" stained finishes, you can go to a big box store and buy "filler strips". These are pre-finished strips of wood in different finishes that match (hopefully) your existing cabinets. You can rip these to the right length and width if necessary and screw into the sides of your existing cabinets - cleaning up that gap.

My cabinets are oak with a natural finish, so I should be able to get some "filler strips" to match.

Thanks for your help,
Jennie

That should be an easy find... check out a big box store.
