Hi everyone...
I am a first-time poster.
My husband and I just purchased a house and all of the bathrooms have sliding glass doors on the tub.... the kind that are impossible to keep clean. We decided to remove the one in our baby's room and after removing the hardware and tracks, found a long bead of some type of clear sealant goo stuff that will not pull off!
I am afraid if I try to scrape it off with a razor, it will scratch the surface of the tub, which is not ceramic but rather some type of plastic.
Is there a solvent that will dissolve this goo? It's pretty tough, hard stuff.
Thanks in advance

LBNH, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
It is probably some type of silicone sealer. Use a plastic scraper. The type you can buy cheap for doing drywall compound. These can actually be sharpened if necessary. I would not recommend a solvent on a plastic type tub. Clean off all you can with the scraper and then try isopropyl alcohol. Good luck.
