Question Can I place a lip around chipped formica edges?

Guys and gals, long time listener first time caller. I recently purchased a house that had an old outdated built-in stove with three white/cream colored formica countertops surrounding it. This thing looked like it should be on the antique road show so I removed it and I accidentally chipped the edge and surrounding formica countertop about an inch over onto the surface. I’m pretty sure it is best to replace the countertop but I was wondering is there any material I could place on top of and around these three sides? I was wondering if there may be a stainless or chrome strip (or any other decent looking material to hide the chip top) I could glue or screw down. The strip whatever it might be made out of (if such a thing exist) wouldn’t have to be wider than 1.5 inches. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

There are metal fillers that fit between the range and top that might cover your damage. Available at home stores, and likely at appliance stores.
