Granite counter top rough edges not polished
Just bought a granite counter top for remoldel bathroom. Counter was special ordered marked at $800.00 at Lowes. Got it for $100.00 the problem is that both side edges are not polished. They are still rough cut. Is there any way to fix this or will i just have to deal with the rough look. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

it can be ground and polished. It is beyond the average home owner, not only due to the work itself but the tools are a bit expensive for a one time deal.
You might try calling area granite dealers (counter top shops) and asking how much they would charge to grind and polish the ends.

When you say rough cut, do the edges look like they were cut with a saw and just not polished or do they look like they were fractured with large jagged edges?
In any event a handy DIYer can accomplish this task if you really want to do it on your own. If the edges just need polishing and you are not talking about doing bullnosing or ogee or other special edging then you can easily purchase and do your own polishing. If you need to cut the edges and then polish them, you still can accomplish this.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, there are stone and counter shops that will do the work for you. The downside is that since you got the slab at such a good price, the finish work charged by the stone guys will run you way more than the cost you paid for the slab itself.
