Cement Backer Board Damage - Tile Removal
I removed the old tile surrounding my bathtub. It was on cement backer board. During the removal, some of the cement was damaged (mostly corners & edges). To repair it I see 3 options:
1. fill in with thinset
2. mix cement & smooth out surface
3. when I was at Home Depot they had some surface-leveling compound in the tile section to prep surfaces, could use that.
What is the best way to fix it before laying the new tile?
Also, some of the old mortar is stuck to the cement board, what is the best way to remove it? Thanks!
