Question Laminate Countertop Seams

I have completely remodeled a kitchen that was last updated in the '40's, I installed pre cut laminate tops from Lowes, My problem is with the seams, they sell a pre colored caulk to fill the seams, in my parents home they have a 1/2" cap that covers each seam. Does anyone know where I can purchase these caps or a better way to cover the seam to avoid any water damage issues that may come up??

Just a tip

I used clear silicone caulking on black Formica from Lowes and it looks great and blends wonderfully.

Depending on who cut the mitres and the pattern of plastic laminate, seams are more obvious and/or not quite so tight as on some laminate tops. Extra precautions should always be taken where there are seams in plastic laminate tops in order to avoid moisture penetration even with the use of seam sealers and caulk.
