The diverter is not diverting water to the shower anymore so I bought a repair kit from home depot (the one with the white plastic diverter washer). I removed the old diverter but the screw has come undone and the old plastic washer has fallen off inside. No matter what I do, I cannot get the old parts out to get the new parts in. There also seems to be some kind of "lip" right inside the pipe that is preventing the piece from coming out. This lip has like four holes in it but I cant pull it out. I dont know if it is even supposed to come out. FYI...i unscrewed the handle screw, removed the handle, then removed the chrome cover, then unscrewed the stem. Is there anything else I am missing to be able to remove the old parts and install the new ones? Help.....im showering in a trickle of water.

Hi all, I was wondering if I could get some advice on grout. I tiled this last weekend the area above the kitchen stove and that turned out pretty good I'm happy to say but I had planned on using some of the grout that was in my garage that was originally used on this kitchen backsplash area. Problem is, when I picked it up and was trying to pour it out of bag, it was basically rocks, not powder. So I thought well I could go down to home depot or lowes and find another bag of same color, wrong, they don't carry it. The grout is a brand name called elastiment, sanded floor grout and the color is wheat. I looked up this elastiment because home depot and lowes have polyblend brand to see where I could get elastiment. Got a hold of some company in new jersey called boiardi. So I called them up this morning, described my situation and the grout, he confirmed elastiment is the brand name and he had no idea how I got it in texas because they don't have any distributors here. He said he could probably ship me a bag, but said the date code would be different than what I originally had so the color batch would be different, kind of like paint batches. Oh great, he suggested I should remove the old grout and buy something locally and regrout everything. I tiled about 3 square feet but my whole kitchen would have to be degrouted and then regrouted, not what I really want to do on about 20square feet. Is this about my only hope??? Thanks for any information:confused: By the way, we bought the house a year ago, so have no idea where the previous owners got it or who they used to tile/grout this house but I guess that's irrelevant since the batch code would be different. Looks like the bag is about 5 years old I'm guessing.
