Problem with Newly Installed Moen Posi-Temp

Its the single-handle Posi-Temp diverter model 2510 for Moen Adler. I have flushed the system after connecting all CPCV pipes. When the spout is placed in the tub mode and the volume of water is increased form cold to hot, a point is reached when water flows out of the shower. It makes it difficult to fill the tub without getting wet.

When the spout is put in shower mode, perfection is achieved without a tub flow or leakage! I will appreciate any assistance.

Not sure I understand your problem. You have a tub spout with a pull up(or down) diverter?? If yes, it is engaging by itself and diverting water to the shower head?? I would replace the tub spout/diverter.

I think your water pressure is too high. The only thing that makes water come out the tub spout instead of the shower is gravity, If too much water is coming out the pressure will rise enough for the "overflow" to come out the shower. If you have cutoff valves for the tub or even for the whole bathroom, you could back them off to get lower pressure.

Does your house have high water pressure generally?
