Painting tub/tile surround
Rather than replacing my tub and tile surround, is there any special paint that can be applied over the tub and tile?

Hi Mike,
There are several company's that will come in and pray an epoxy finish over the tile and tub. I've had some people tell me it looked great, others said it wasn't what they expected. Everything I've ever heard was, don't do it for a often used tub area, but for a guest bath, that rarely gets used, it might be fine.
Check under..hmm "bathtub refinishers"(?) in the yellow pages or internet.
There are also custom sized inserts, specific to your tub that can be put in. Probably under the same catagory.
Good Luck

Thanks for the responses. The tub is rarely used right now, but may eventually be used more.
I have heard horror stories about Bath Fitter type places and they seem to be pretty expensive. Just didnt know if there were other alternatives.
