Unhappy Upstairs New Bathroom Vent

I AM INSTALLING A TOILET/SHOWE/SINK VENT IN AN UPSTAIRS BATHROOM. I DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH THE ROOF DUE TO HOW STEEP IT IS AND I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FLASH THE VENT TO WELL. SO I WANT TO PUT THE VENT OUT THE SIDE OF THE WALL. THERE IS A OVERHANG FROM MY ROOF IN THE AREA OF THE VENT. IS THIS A BAD IDEA? I HEARD WITH THE OVERHANG THE SMELL OF SEWER GAS WILL NOT CLEAR OUT ENOUGH IF THE WINDOWS ARE OPEN IN THE SUMMER TIME AND THE GAS WILL COME INTO THE HOUSE FROM OUTSIDE. ANY ANSWERS TO THIS PROBLEM?

You will have to contact your local building authorities.

Most inspectors will not allow this.

Also, for fututre reference, do not use all CAPS.
