kitchen sinks

about 4 yrs ago i had a new laminate countertop and sink installed. what an ugly disaster. The sink is a single bowl white (home depot) that has stained so badly it looks 30 yrs old. I would still like single bowl in white but have NO idea what to look for-- something that doesn't stain as thhis one has.before i start on countertop i need to decide on the sink and its quality. what do i ask for. many thanks

Was the sink Americast, or solid surface(Corian)?? I have had customers complain about Americast but not recently. To answer your question, if white is your choice, porcelin on cast iron is still a good choice. As with any colored surface(except solid surface), care must be taken not to scratch the surface when cleaning, no gritty cleaners.

I agree with Just Bill. Properly maintained, porcelin on cast iron will last forever.

kitchen sink

thank you for your replies. I did stop at a plumbing supply house and their recommendation was the same. So guess I'll go with cast iron/enamel.
