Question Connecting water line to dishwasher inlet

I am replacing our dishwasher with a Kenmore model 665.1384. When I installed the 90 degree elbow into the water inlet valve the elbow was facing the wrong direction to connect the water inlet tubing (copper tubing). I tried using some extra teflon tape and not screwing the elbow in all the way but that produced a leak (as expected).

If the origin of the copper is accessible, say at the sink hot water supply, you could replace it with flexible stainless steel braid line. It will fit on the stop valve and is flexible enough to be routed at odd angles under the dishwasher.
