Plastic tub surround

Plastic tub surround
Hi all,
I bought a five-piece plastic tub surround from the local home improvement store, and the directions aren't too specific.
1. Should the panels overlap? When I place the side panels up so that they end with the edge of the tub, the corner piece covers a good four inches of it. I wasn't sure if I should cut the side panel or let the corner overlap.
2. Also, it has rounded corners, which leaves a gap between the 90-degree corner of the wall and the rounded corner of the surround. What do I do about this?
Thanks for the help!

Well, was hopin someone else with more knowledge would weigh in...but
Bud is right, they are what they are. Don't try to cut anything, it will only look worse, cause you'll never be able to get as clean/straight an edge as the factory.
You'll probably have to caulk any gap at the corners. Not much else you can do.
If it were a tub insert you could sand the surround corners for a nicer fit, but thats not an option with the plastic surround kits, since they're all flat.
