advise on making corian counter top

i have acquired some corian sheet (1/2), and planning on making a new counter top. my question is on gluing the pieces together,,,,,i have the adhesive for the color of the sheets, but in bonding them together, do i just put a bead of adhesive on the 2 edges, and clamp them together, or do i put a bead on both edges, and after clamping them together, run another small bead on top of joint, and let it harden? also, when making a bull nose, do i use the same adhesive, (i am making a simple bullnose with a 1/2" roundover) and just clamp edge piece onto top piece, let it harden, and then do my roundover? thanks

joints

The way I was taught in the corian training years ago was to use clamps. You will want the 2 pieces cut as clean as possible. This should be done with a router and double fluted bit. Leave the 2 pieces apart about 1 inch. Lay aluminium foil tape under the joint to keep the ahesive from running out the botton.Mix your adhesive up and put it in the joint. Use a hot melt glue gun and attach 4 blocks (prefer corian) to the top pieces 2 on each side. Gently pull the blocks together with 2 clamps. If you pull the blocks off you went to tight.Make sure your pieces are aligned properly from top to bottom. The 2 surfaces should align perfectly. Let it cure and your on your way. If the adhesive still comes in tubes and need mixing pinch the bottom of the tube in an orbital sander and it will do a great mixiny the 2 up...hope this helps

You may want to build up the edges so it looks thicker, and be sure there is support at each cabinet joint(no long unsupported spans).
