Bathtub Caulk Question

There is a slight low spot in the corner of the tub where it meets the tile wall and water seems to sit there after I turn off the shower until it dries. Right in that area the existing caulk has become mushy so I plan to scrape that out, let it dry and then re-caulk. Will I be safe using a siliconized caulk that matches the color of my grout or should I screw the aesthetics and go with a 100% silicone caulk that will hopefully be a little more durable, especially with the moisture problem? Is there anything else I should do to prevent the caulk from getting mushy again? TIA for your help!

Use something like GE Silicone II or better. And as you have already stated, make sure the tub is completely dry before you apply the silicone. Some of the silicones come in colors, so you may luck out.

The corner is a fluke, it happens. Go buy one of those little foam rubber duckies that kids take baths with and stand him in that corner. He'll wick the water and keep it off the caulk.
