seamless glass shower doors

Does anyone know how to judge the quality for a seamless glass shower door?
I have searched the net, and all I can find are dealers to install.
Is it necessary to have the glass be 1/2 inch wide?

Do you mean "frameless"?

Never heard of a "seamless shower door".

If you're talking about a featureless pane of glass, thickness is the major qualifier. This glass comes from local glass suppliers and shopping for "quality" or "brand" is meaningless.

The glass folks will sell you the correct glass if they understand it's for frameless installation in a bathroom.

If you want to DIY such a glass door, please understand the mounting should be planned by someone with a sense of structural engineering. These doors are heavy!

grout around outside edge of shower stall

We have a 2 year old house (slab floor) and have noticed in the walk-in shower stall, the grout has a long separation between the 1x1 floor tiles and the 4x4 wall tiles. I can't call it cracked, it just looks like the edge of the grout separated from the edge of the wall tiles. I am concerned with water getting under the floor even though I know there is a liner under there. Should we do this repair by re-grouting which would be a new repair experience for us, or would caulk do? If caulk, what kind of caulk would stick? Thanks! Legacy

Over-the-range microwave installation advice

Hi, I need advice on installaing over-the-range microwave. I am plannin got buy GE over-the-range microwave and replace my 17 Yr. old range-microwave combo unit. The question is, shoud I use professional installation (whcih may cost upto $250) or try to do it my self? If I do it myself, what things I need to keep in mind to make sure the microwave if securely placed? Thanks.
