Kitchen sink size for corner base cabinet

Hi all,

We're upgrading our countertop to granite, and need to purchase an undermount single bowl, SS sink. The sink is located on a 45 degree angle, in a 36" corner cabinet. The sink that's there now is a drop in, with inside measurements of 21 1/2 by 15 1/2.

I know that cabinet size determines sink size, but what's the rule with a corner cabinet? If we go by the opening at the front (17"), that means we have to put in a sink that's much smaller than what's there now. On the other hand, 36" is obviously way too big.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Check with an upscale bath/kitchen supplier. Undermount corner sinks are available in different sizes, but may not fit your existng cabinets well.

kitchen sink

If I'm understanding this correctly, you're looking for an L shaped sink that goes from one section of the counter to the other instead of a rectangular sink that cuts across the space? Try a site like www.kohler.com or www.americanstandard.com-us (not sure on second one...). They should have lots of combinations.

Also, don't know if you're installing yourself as granite is heavy, but here's info on that --
