Epoxy Grout

I just finished tiling the walls around our tub using epoxy grout. It was really a pain to work with it and I wish I'd just used regular grout. Expensive, fussy about meticulous cleanup, difficult to clean up residue and spills. Do the professionals use this stuff? I'll bet it costs a lot more for labor. Comments?

Epoxy grout has it's place, like countertops or commercial applications. Regular portland type grout is the most commonly used by pro's and DIYers. There will be additional labor involved for epoxy grouts.

What Hot said. It is far harder to work with and you can't take a break half way through. Work fast or you are in real trouble. On the plus side.........once done it is impervious to nearly all stains, and stuff. I had a customer that demanded it in all the almost 90% redo of their house, kitchen, bathrooms, etc. I hated every minute of that job, but coming back after 14 yrs, as I often do, it still looks like I just finished it yesterday.
