Over the Range Microwave proper width

I have custom installed cabinets. There is a range hood above the stove top. The distance between the cabinets above the stove top is 35.75 inches. I want to install a OTR microwave but find that most are only 30 inches wide. That would leave me a big gap on either side of hte microwave. What should I do about that? I have plenty of clearance from stove top to bottom of microwave. My problem is the width. Thanks for your help!

A quick search showed almost every manufacturer makes 36" OTR micros....
Most are about 35 3/4- 35 7/8...you may have to do a little trimming. Be prepared for sticker shock...guess they consider them high end as prices ranged from about $600-900.

Check with an appliance store or Sears or similar...they should be able to give you some options and pricing.
