Tile and Grout
We have a tile person who wants to install a shower with tiles, floor and wall. My experience with grout has been one of mildew and would prefer a solid piece for the shower pan. Are there new products out there that eliminate the classical problem of grout getting dirty/moldy so that it cannot be easily cleaned?

Well, if the shower is constructed per industry standards, and the grout is sealed like it should, there should never be a mold/mildew problem.
Also, it's important for the customers to keep there shower clean as well.

They do make shower pans..FG, plastic or something, but they sure detract from the look of a nice tiled shower enclosure. And they can still stain or delaminate over time.
As mark said..with proper install and normal cleaning..the tile might be a better option.

Tec makes AccuColor XT Sanded and UnSanded grout. It's stain, mold and mildew resistant, and never needs sealing. Great stuff.
You still need to clean your shower.
